Information for patients

At the Tour du ALS, patients are our VIP (Very Important Patient). We think it is very important that patients can experience this unique event. As a patient you can attend or participate in the Tour du ALS. In the past editions, around 60 patients have participated in the Tour du ALS. All of them have experienced this as a very unique experience that they would never have wanted to miss out on. Not only the performance itself (the huge challenge of climbing the Mont Ventoux), but also the good feeling that it gives to experience this with your family and / or friends. A sense of togetherness, a real sense of "together we kick ALS out of the world."

The patients are our main focus of the Tour du ALS

Do you want to participate in the Tour du ALS? Let us make this possible for you. As a patient you do not have to pay a registration fee, therefore request a discount code via tda@ALS.be. If you still have doubts or would like more information, we are happy to assist you further there.

Every year a number of patients cycle with them, mostly on a by Stichting ALS opdeweg! 'Haze Pino' made available, with or without pedal assistance.

There are also teams that participate for a patient. Are you one of them? Let us know through tda@ALS.be because we love your presence! We would like to welcome you to our base camp for a snack and a drink.

Care during the Tour du ALS

Carers, physiotherapists and occupational therapists are present at the Tour du ALS (all specialized in ALS). If you need care, for example at the ADL (washing, dressing, etc.) then we would like to hear this in advance. If you need specific aids that cannot be taken from home, we will go out of our ways to try and arrange this for you. We would like to hear your wishes and we will get in contact with you about this.
